iPhone picture update

We're alive and well! We were all a little under the weather last week, but we are much better now. Poor Harper had an inner ear infection and Henry had some wheezing from what we think was either allergies or asthma. We went to Memphis today to see his pulmonologist, Dr. Shumacher, and he said that Henry is doing great. In fact, he looked and Mark and me and told us to start getting him out. Mark and I didn't know what to say. We are so excited to start introducing our babies to the people that we love so much! Now, we are going to take baby steps, but on our way home from Memphis we stopped at Fresh Market, and guess who came in with us!! That's right, Henry got his first taste of the grocery store!! (granted, the ONLY reason we did this is because we didn't know a soul!) Of coarse I cried almost all the way home. I'm just so overjoyed that we can FINALLY start doing normal things with our babies. I'm also just humbled and grateful at how far we've come in almost a year. God has blessed us so much and I am just so thankful for His love and mercy.

Strolling around the neighborhood. H&H had to wear their shades because mommy's legs are so white! ;)

Our Weekend

Weekends seem to go so fast these days. We had a wonderful visit with Mark's mom and dad. Harper and Henry loved getting spoiled and loved on by their Nonnie and Judgie! Lots of laughs, good food, and much needed catching up! Henry and Harper were definitely our entertainment for the weekend! They are at such a fun stage!
Unfortunately, we are all just a little under the weather. As beautiful as the warm weather has been, it seems that the pollen has wreaked havoc on our allergies. Poor babies, they seem to have taken after me and inherited my horrible allergies! Harper was pretty bad Thursday, and then Friday Henry and I woke up with it. Runny, stuffy noses, itchy eyes, the whole shebang! Luckily, no fever. We're going to see Dr. Fowler tomorrow for another RSV shot, so hopefully she will agree that it's just allergies and nothing more. Praying we'll be past this soon. Our new stroller finally came in, and I am dying to get out and enjoy this weather! I think some fresh air will do us all some good!

We were also able to Skype with my parents yesterday. I am really missing them, and I know Harper and Henry miss them, too! All week Henry has been leaning back and looking around me, and I finally figured out what he was doing! He was looking for my mom! Ha! I know two kiddos who are going to be so excited when they get home!

Ready for the Weekend

I am so proud to say that this whole family slept ALL NIGHT LONG last night! Praise God, because that was truly an answered prayer.

We are looking forward to a visit from Mark's parents this weekend! I know we'll have fun!

Mom, if you are reading this, I am so sorry I have missed your FaceTime calls. I'm not really sure how I missed yesterday's because I had my ringer turned on and close by all day. Anyway, we are fine, and I hope you are having so much fun. Can't wait to hear about everything. Especially the food!! :)

Harper and Henry say hello and that they miss you!!

Sharing...

We're not sure we know what that word means just yet! The fighting over toys has already begun at our house.

Typical day. Harper and her beloved phone.

Then he notices Harper's phone

The look he gives me when I tell him to share

Trying once again to take the phone

Harper seems to have won this battle. But I do believe the war has just begun. ;)

There's my happy boy

Please don't let these pictures fool you, Harper does her fair share of stealing Henry's toys, too!

Just a typical day at the Maz house!

A First...

Well, I did something this morning that I vowed I would never do as a parent! At 3:47 a.m., after being up almost every 30 minutes with Harper, I finally put her in our bed! I can't say that it helped me, but Harper was able to finally go to sleep and sleep for longer than 20 minutes at a time. Mommy and daddy didn't get much sleep, but baby girl was able to sleep until 7 this morning. I feel a little defeated, but I was at my breaking point. I think we all have those moments. I won't make this a habit, but I certainly won't be saying, "never," again! I'm not saying that there is ANYTHING wrong with parents who let their kids sleep with them, but it's just not for us! I'm praying that tonight will be better.

And now, some pictures for the grandparents:
