4 MONTHS!!!!
I decided to finally sit down and update this blog since it's been 4 MONTHS!! I realized last night than an entire season has passed since my last post. I think that might be a record. Mark and I have been busy working and just hanging out with friends and family. I won't bore you (if there's anyone who still checks this thing) with a recap of the last four months. I will say that Mark and I, along with my mom and dad, are leaving for NYC this Friday to visit my sister. I will definitely be posting pictures from our trip. This will be sort of like a two year "engagement" anniversary trip for Mark and me. We were engaged almost two years ago in NYC. We're jamming a lot of stuff into one weekend, lots of dining out, sight seeing, shopping, and broadway. I have been counting down the days. We're going to celebrate my sister's graduation. She just graduated with honors from the French Culinary Institute as a pastry chef. I'm so proud of her! Mark is already talking about how much weight we're both gonna gain once she moves back to Corinth! I've missed her so much. In honor of her, I'll post a picture of a cake she made while she was home for Thanksgiving. She made this thing like it was nothing! I was amazed, and I promise you, it tasted just as heavenly as it looks! More posts to come!
Oh, and I had to add a random picture of Mark with Oscar on Thanksgiving. Oscar had too much turkey, and this is how he was the rest of the night! He was just like a little noodle! Love him!

Cardboard Testimony
A friend that I work with told me to watch this video. You need to silence my playlist in order to hear it. I may be the only person who hasn't heard of this You Tube video, but I wanted to share it anyway. It's wonderful!

Happy Anniversary
Mark and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on Monday. I have been planning and saving all year for his gift. On the day of our wedding, Mark joked that the only other place he would have wanted to get married, other than our church, was Fenway Park. I knew right then what I was going to do for our first anniversary!!! It took lots of planning and help from friends, but last Thursday, I surprised Mark with tickets to see the Red Sox. He cried. I tried to film it on my camera, but the battery was dead from Mexico. He was so excited, but so rushed to get things packed!! We flew out the next morning and were in Boston in time for the Fourth of July Spectacular with the Boston Pops. We went to the Esplanade to watch the fireworks show, but it was crazy. We ended up going back to the room. To our surprise, we were able to watch the fireworks show from our hotel room.
The next day we did the tourist thing. We walked all over Boston and crammed a lot into one day! Sunday, we spent the day with Mark's family. His grandfather, aunts, uncles, and cousins all live in Salem, and were so sweet to have us over for the day. Thanks again Mike for driving us all over Boston, and Cathy and Pips for opening your home and feeding us so well. It was a great visit, and I'm so glad to have finally met the rest of the Mazurkiewicz crew. On Monday we took a tour of Fenway and stopped at the Yawkey Way store for souveniers. The game started at 7:05, and I have to say, for someone who claimed to not like baseball, I had a great time. Our seats were awesome, and I was surprised how fast the time flew. I was sad to see the game end, but at least the RED SOX WON!!!!! Mark had a great time and that's all that mattered.
Without sounding too corny, this past year has been the best year of my life. I married such a wonderful man. I could go on and on and "goob" everyone out, but I have to say that with each day that passes, I love him more and more. There's noone I'd rather go through this life with than Mark. I'll try and post pictures from our trip tomorrow. If you know Mark, you know we have a hundred to put on the computer!!! I also added two songs to our blog. The first song is the one that Papelbon walks out to, to "close" the game. The crowd goes nuts! You might recognize it from the movie The Departed. The other, which is actually played by the same band, is the "unofficial" song of the Red Sox Nation! Their called the Dropkick Murphys and they are all from Boston.

Puerto Vallarta 2008
Mark and I went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with our good friends Gray and Whitney Williams, Kati Burkhalter, and Matt Pittman. Whitney and Kati are my roommates from college. The three of us always have so much fun together, and we are so thankful that our "significant others" get along so well. We had so much fun! We stayed for seven days and I feel like I've put on a good fifteen "mexican kilos!" I'm dead serious. We had some of the best food I've ever eaten. Kati and I are already planning to go back just to eat at The Blue Shrimp! It's been a long time since my last post, but a lot has been going on. To say this vacation was much needed is an understatement. I'll be posting pictures soon from our One Year Anniversary getaway. It's a surprise for Mark!!!

I've Been Tagged!!!
Thank you to my sweet friend Katie who tagged me so I would get out of my "blog funk" and add a new post!!! It's been a while! Thanks Katie, I miss you!!! So here goes...
What was I doing five years ago?
It was my Senior year at State and I was living in Glen Hollow with Whitney Williams and Kati Burkhalter. We had so much fun together. I'm not sure if we accomplished much that year, seeing that I graduated a semester later, but we had fun all the same!
5 things on my "to do" list today:
1. Plan our summer vacation!!
2. Grade papers
3. Clean out our "junk room" so Mark's parents will have a place to sleep next weekend!
4. Lunch with my niece Ashley
5. Work on laundry...notice I said "work" because this seems to be a never-ending task that I loathe!!!
(this is a list, this does not necessarily mean that I will get to everything! :)
5 snacks I love:
1. Wheat thins with ANYTHING, but especially Laughing Cow cheese. Mark thinks I would go into withdrawals if I had to do without these little crackers.
2. M&M's minis
3. chips and rotel
4. white cheddar popcorn
5. skinny cow ice cream sandwiches
NOTHING HEALTHY!!!
5 things I would do if I were a billionaire:
1. tithe to our church and other organizations close to our hearts
2. build our dream home and then build one for our parents
3. buy property in Oxford, MS and somewhere in Florida and Colorado
4. buy the "Cat House" in corinth, renovate it, and then turn it into a bridal shop/bakery for my sister and me to own!
5. give it away to friends and family
5 bad habits that I have:
1. sleeping in my make-up
2. PROCRASTINATING!!!!
3. not returning phone calls
4. not working out
5. displacing frustration from work on loved ones (mainly my husband)
5 places I've lived:
1. Corinth
2. Oxford (attended first grade)
3. Starkville
4. Tupelo
5. Corinth (probably until the day I die!)
5 jobs I've had:
1. babysitting the sweetest little boy... Connor
2. Pharmacy cashier girl ( I didn't really have a title)
3. Lifeguard at Hillandale Country Club
4. Pro-Shop at Shiloh Ridge Golf Club
5. Elementary school teacher
5 people I'd like to know more about:
1. Jennifer Hopkins
2. Rebecca Goldman
3. Whitney Williams
4. Melanie Smith
5. Kate Nichols (when she decides to create a blog!)

Mark's Worst Nightmare
I was looking on people.com tonight, and I came across this picture. First of all, let me stress how much my husband loves OLE MISS!!! Being the Mississippi State girl that I am, or once was, I got a kick out of Mark's reaction to the picture above. Now, bless her heart, I know she's going through a lot, and I really applaud her for her decision to keep her baby, BUT, check out the book she's carrying in her hand. This picture absolutely disgusts my husband. He was even talking about notifying the University to see what can be done about this embarrassment to his alma mater. I hope someone gets a kick out of this! I know I did!!!
Christmas Break
We had an absolutely WONDERFUL Christmas break. As you can see, I didn't keep to my commitment of posting on a regular basis, but, I did have good intentions. Anytime I would get on to post, I would get busy reading everyone else's posts, and completely lose track of what I was supposed to be doing. I've finally posted pictures above of our holiday fun. On December 21st, I left for Nashville with some of my dearest college friends. We stayed at the Opryland Hotel and saw the Rockettes!!! It had been a while since we were all together, and we had so much fun. I love these girls, and I can't wait for next year's trip!! I've also posted pictures from Christmas with the Haynie, McClamroch, and Lancaster sides of my family. Mark's parents were able to come to Corinth on the 29th, and we were able to have Christmas with his family. By the time New Year's Eve rolled around, Mark and I were exhausted. I'm embarrassed to admit, but we spent our New Year's Eve with Dick Clark, but neither of us complained! Anyway, I went back to work today, officially ending my Christmas break. I'm looking forward to a wonderful year ahead. By the way, Mark and I have been married exactly six months today!!! Time flies!!!!
