One Month

One month from today my "babies" will be 2 years old!  I can't even begin to explain how sad and happy this makes me.  Sad, because I don't really have babies anymore.  Happy, because we are finally to a point where I'm not as scared and fearful for their health, and also, because they are at such a FUN stage.  Talking and being funny on purpose.  I LOVE it!  I know I haven't updated the blog in a while.  We moved into our new house in early February, and then it seemed like we all got sick.  I feel like the entire month of March was spent going to the doctor, cleaning up throw up, or rocking sick babies.  Thankfully, we are all well right now.  Just in time to enjoy this beautiful weather we are having.  We are spending as much time outside in the sunshine as we can and we are loving it.  The one thing this past month has taught me is that as much as I want to protect my children from harm or illness, those things are going to happen.  It's part of life.  And while God gives us common sense to protect our children when we can, we can't stop living our lives.  I realized that I have spent a lot of the last two years living with a fear that they might get sick.  And guess what, they got sick!  But, we survived!  God is showing me every day that I need to let go of my fear and really trust in Him.  It's a daily struggle for me, but I am trying.

Here are some pictures of what's been going on since I last posted an update:

Henry received his very last synergist shot.  He wasn't as excited about it as I was!  Go figure, a few weeks later he caught a nasty cold.  Luckily, it wasn't RSV, but he was such a sick little baby for a few weeks.

Then, once Henry seems to be better, our sweet Harper girl caught the stomach virus.

She quickly became dehydrated and had to go to the hospital for iv fluids.  She was such a big girl!

This nasty virus lasted 6 days!!  She ran such a high fever that her little face broke out in a rash.

In hopes that Henry wouldn't catch it, we sent him to stay with my parents for those 6 days.  He had a blast, but he missed Harper.

They were so sweet when they were finally reunited.  I mean, genuinely excited to see each other.  I may or may not have cried.  These moments don't happen that often around here!

Being silly with daddy.

Harper got to go with daddy to meet some friends for dinner.  I stayed home with Henry who was sick.

Henry being silly with his "girlfriends!"  My cousin Kate and her friend (and my former 5th grade student) Hannah came by to watch the kiddos.  Henry loves getting all the attention from pretty girls.  Already a flirt and not even 2!

We like to watch Mickey Mouse like this!

My sweet snuggle bunny.  I'm ashamed to admit how much Disney channel watching goes on in this house.  I'm just keeping it real I guess, but sometimes, when the weather is bad and there's no where to go, the Disney channel can be a mom's best friend.

Harper looking like such a big girl.  Attitude and all! Ha!

We LOVE playing outside!

Fun in our Radio Flyer!

Our first Easter egg hunt!  The kids had a blast!

Easter Sunday 2013

And just for laughs, I included a pic from Easter 2012!  We have ALL changed so much!  I would give anything to go back and have them be this size.  Even if only for a day.  While I miss them being this little, I really am loving each and every stage.
