30 Days of Thanksgiving Challenge

Happy November!  I've been seeing everyone posting on Facebook about the things for which they are thankful, and I have decided I will join in on the challenge.  Except, I'll be posting what I'm thankful for each day on the blog instead of Facebook, and I'll be posting a picture of H&H each day, just for fun!  I plan on uploading this blog into a book for H&H to have and read one day.  So, I thought it might be neat for them to read about what I was thankful for during their first Thanksgiving!  I'm a day late joining this challenge, but who cares!  I invite my friends who blog to join me in this challenge, or if you don't blog, just leave what you're thankful for in the comment box!  Some days you can list things that are very important to you, like your family, and then some days you can list things that may be silly, like, being thankful for Starbucks coffee, which, I am!  Ha!   I think by focusing on all that we have been blessed with, both big and small, we will live in a state of constant thanksgiving.  I think I can live with that! ;)  So, here goes:

Day 1:

I think it goes without saying, but I am so thankful for my children.  We prayed for these babies and God blessed us with two of the sweetest children I have ever known.  I am so grateful for them.  Not one day has passed where I have not thanked God for them.  Being a parent is hard, and it comes with GREAT responsibility, but it's the BEST thing that's ever happened to me.  Changed my life forever, in the BEST possibly way!

Day 2:

Today, I am thankful for my friends.  From high school, college, and now as an "adult," God has blessed me with incredible friends.  Going through everything we've been through this year, I have redefined what it means to be a friend.  The love my friends have shown me, this year alone, has made me want to be a better friend to them.  For some, we may not talk everyday,  and for some, not even once a month, but I love them,  and am so very grateful and thankful for them.  I pray everyday that God will give Henry and Harper at least one true friend.

So, what are YOU thankful for today??

I am thankful for my family. I am thankful that my almost 95 year old mother is alive and in relatively good health. I am thankful for my sisters and brother. Most of all I am thankful for my children and grandchildren. They are such a blessing. My youngest grandchild, Addison, has given me a new lease on life. I am thankful God has blessed me with such an amazing family.
